Why Woodwind & Brasswind ?

Product Description

The Bora is our medium size F/Eb tuba mouthpiece. Designed for playing in small to medium large ensembles. Characterized by its warmer tone with a larger sound than the Churada. Designed for playing in chamber ensembles, Quintets, and providing a tone that is not over powering. Rim is 1.255, and the throat is .318 in diameter, medium depth bowl shape cup.

Great solo Mouthpiece

I've been playing one of these mouthpieces for a few months now and I can honestly say that I will be hard pressed to ever play a brass mouthpiece again. The feel of the Stainless Steel on your embochure is borderline luxurious, and the grabbing sensation that can come after an hour of playing on a brass mouthpiece is not present anywhere. The Bora is a great solo mouthpiece. I have absolutely no trouble staying in and above the staff at dynamics that vary from pp to fff. The sound is a bit bright for ensemble playing but the sound is definitly passable. Some people have commented on how it's a bit harder to pop out the pedals but I haven't found this to be the case, it's a very versatile mouthpiece that is well suited to any player who is looking for a good mouthpiece that can do solo work with the best of them while being able to hold it's own in a small to medium sized ensemble.
