Comments about Hal Leonard Essential Elements Jazz Play-Along - The Blues (B-Flat, E-Flat, and C-Instruments) Book/CD:
In the midst of the description of what is on the CD that comes with the book, it says: "sample solos are provided as a guide for creating effective solos. Well, that's partially true. It would be actually true if it read: "On the CD, four sample solos are provided for each of the different instruments." It is true that there is a sample solo for each instrument for each music title in the book, it is not true for the CD. It was disappointing but needn't have been. Clarifying the description would make a big difference in one's expectations. I would have bought it with a better understanding of what I was getting and no disappointment. This is definitely a beginner book.
