Awesome stand!!

By

Comments about Hamilton Alto/Tenor Saxophone Stand with Peg:

My Hamilton stand has held a variety of horns I've owned since 1977. A high school friend made me a beautiful Cherry wood soprano peg in 1977 and both have travelled the world with me!!

Comments about Hamilton Alto/Tenor Saxophone Stand with Peg:

Tenor sax weight caused bending of the base of the stand almost to gthe floor. I would not recomend this product to anyone. Also lower support touvhed lower keys on horn. I had to turn it over to avoid bending of key. I used the stand once but will not again.

Comments about Hamilton Alto/Tenor Saxophone Stand with Peg:

I have been using the Hamilton stand for over 20 years with absolutely no problem. I did have to adjust the portion that holds the bell, but it was very easy. Stand is extremely durable and stable. It will not collapse at all. Extremely durable. I highly recommend it.

      Great stand

Comments about Hamilton Alto/Tenor Saxophone Stand with Peg:

This stand sets up quickly with one motion. It's reasonably light but very secure. Even without tightening the screw on the bottom it can never fold with the instrument on it. It does have some play and wobble somewhat but it's not a problem at all. I've used two of these stands for 20-25 years on the road in Europe and the U.S. and they still look almost like new. The only wear you notice is the foam on the "u" getting a little dry on one of the stands. The other one has a thinner, plastic coating, which I don't like as much as the foam, but on the other hand, it doesn't wear out. Durable and secure stand!

      Halfway decent

Comments about Hamilton Alto/Tenor Saxophone Stand with Peg:

I purchased this stand several years ago. One thing that I didn't like was how the bell support was so wide when I got it (this is generally the case with hamilton sax stands). To solve this problem, I simply bent it so that it would more securely hold my saxophone. My particular stand makes me nervous because when I rest my sax on it, I can see it wobble left to right. This problem could just be that I have had a for a while, and it has been wearing down. Another scary thing I've noticed is that to keep the stand in its unfolded position, you have to tighten a screw on its bottom. There is no locking mechanism here, just a screw. If you do not tighten the screw enough, your sax could come to the floor. This stand is best suited for beginners whose horns are not insanely expensive. Even they could do much better for the money they would have spent on this stand.
