Just got this stand delivered today and wanted to give a short review of it. For starters, it seems strong yet its very light in weight, and folds compactly. The lower yoke can be adjusted in height, however, it doesn't lock into place and can easily slide down to the lowest position without being noticed. The description on the website doesn't mention the second peg hole, nor does the picture even show it, but the stand does have one. Thank God I read the previous reviews before I put in my order so that I could also order the DS502B flute/clarinet peg with it. Also, the back leg is shorter than the other two. When all I have on the stand is my soprano sax, it seems like it could easily tip over on one side if only a little force were applied. This is not a problem when an alto or tenor sax is resting in the yoke, or if you also have a clarinet on the other leg, but if you have a soprano sax and either a flute or piccolo on the stand, you might want to be a little more careful where you have it set up. Overall though, I would recommend this stand to any sax player who doubles on another instrument.
I've been playing gigs using multiple saxes / flute for nearly 40 years now, and have had a variety of stands, and none even come close to the quality of this unit. For all those years, I have to admit using a trombone stand with a sock on it for my soprano -- YIKES -- did not know what I was missing -- this soprano peg is fantastic. My only complaint is that the website was not clear enough for me to reailze when I ordered it, that it had a second threaded hole on the other leg that would accept the DS502B flute peg which I would have ordered at the same time -- now having to place separate order, but hope they will ship free. I see from the other review I am not alone.
Great stand, But i wish the sold a clarinet peg for the other hole that is drilled into the base! This would be nice for alto/soprano Saxophone player, who also doubles clarinet
