This guitar is beautifully made. Transparent red color is gorgeous in person along with black chrome hardware. Finish and detail are perfect. There is 1 floating p.u. at the neck. Pickup can be toggled back & forth between double and single coil sounds. Neck action is unbelievable, i.e., strings are set extremely low and buzz free. Has 14-1/2" lower bout like the ever popular GB10, but with a 1 centimeter deeper body, i.e., 75mm at the tail (approx. 3" deep). To me, this is the main difference between the 2 guitars. The result is a deeper, rounder, less percussive sound that will remind you more of a full sized archtop, but with a more comfortable size. The neck is also a bit wider than the GB10, so be forewarned. The neck is unbelievably fast and easy. I also own the GB10 as well as a vintage Gibson archtop. I play the GB15 everyday and for almost all jazz gigs. Ibanez makes guitars that are a pleasure to play and that don't give me tendinitis.
