Ibanez SGT122 SAGE SERIES 12- String Acoustic GuitarCheck out the Ibanez SGT122 SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar and you'll be amazed at the retro look and feel, inspired by the 1st Golden Age of Ibanez acoustic guitars. The shape of the headstock, body, pickguard and bridge recall a time when things were just a bit more ornate, and pride in craftsmanship was much easier to find. There's something almost magical about the sound of a 12-string. There's nothing quite like the natural chorus sound. The dreadnought body shape is particularly well-suited for making yourself heard in a group, but the tones are certainly sweet enough for it to stand on it's own.

First I wanna review WWBW. Last month my daughter Joy passed away. Thank you for your sympathy, I feel her loss keenly and though I have no desire to burden you, it is part of the story. Incredibly, because though tragically beautiful, Joy was also terribly disabled, incredibly she left me $200.00 and I knew that I had to buy something really pretty to remember her by I saw this 12 string and thought it was just one of the prettiest guitars that I had ever seen. I am a retired cowboy and horse trainer and the pickguard and headstock really scream "western" to me. Headstocks are really important to me and so I had to discard Deans, Seagulls, Breedloves and the like. I can't see spending the rest of my life with one of the pointy headed crowd. I dunno, pointy headstocks just irritate me. Anyway I ordered the guitar and had it shipped second day air so that I could play it at the memorial that weekend. You can imagine my dismay when I discovered, the next morning, that the guitar had been backordered. That could take months! I called WWBW and spoke to a lovely young lady named Rocio, the other pretty girl in this story. I told her the situation and she asked me to give her two minutes. When she came back she said that she had found a guitar in Kansas and would have it on an airplane that afternoon. It was on my front porch 48 hours later. I dunno, but I suspect that they got the guitar from one of their competitors. This is really, really outstanding help and service. The guitar is perfect, drop dead gorgeous with a finish that you could comb your hair in. At first it sounded awful but I soon realized that that was because all 12 strings were buzzing. Recently I have purchased a number of oriental guitars and they all suffer from the same malady, their necks are absolutely straight. Necks gotta have some relief in them, not much, just barely enough to see. The truss rods need to be loosened, the strings will then pull the neck into the proper shape and you can then snug the rod back up, snug please, not tight, they will break, I know. (that?s how you learn). What Joan Baez told me (no kidding, I used to be her horseshoer) about twelve strings is this; You spend half your time tuning one, and the rest of the time playing it out of tune." (This was before electronic tuners). This guitar stays in tune very well, though the first thing that I do every morning is to tune the 12 string. As for the sound, it is just starting to bloom, it's nice but is clearly gonna get a lot better. I love this guitar, every time that I pick it up, I think of Joy, and I smile. I'm gonna go and pick it up right now.
