OVERVIEW

Sleek, sexy, and sonically versatile.

A bolt-on neck joint on the Ibanez SR505 5-string bass guitar allows superb access to the upper frets of its five-piece jatoba/bubinga neck. Only 4/5" thick at the first fret, the 34" scale neck provides more comfortable playing than standard 5-string necks.

Bartolini MK1 pickups and 3-band EQ deliver world-class tone, while the mahogany body provides naturally warm lows and sweet sustain. Rosewood fretboard offers a strong, bright sound and an attractive appearance with a long grain. Ultradurable Accu-Cast B25 bridge offers quick and easy string changes. Single-screw saddle height adjustment gives you better stability than standard double-screw designs.

Comments about Ibanez SR505 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I've played Fender P basses for about thirty years all over the world and with many big names and never thought there was another sound in electric basses to compare until I borrowed a friends Sound Gear SR505. It was the most comfortable and dynamic sounding electric bass that I had ever played. Now I own three Ibanez basses and all my hard to please jazz audiences approve of the sound. It's clear that Ibanez has done their homework in creating a true bass sound.

Comments about Ibanez SR505 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I play in a Christian Band in Southern Illinois and I just recieved this great Bass! I am totally pleased with it! The action is nice and low but no fret buzz and the tone is awsome! The play and feel is also great! For the price you cannot go wrong with this very nice 5 string bass! The natural wood grain look and hardware is simply beautiful! Way to go WWBW and way to go Ibanez! I'm impressed!!!

Comments about Ibanez SR505 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I was looking for a new bass to move up from my old one. I went to my local music store and played around with this one for about two hours. I stayed for a long time and practically drooled over it. It has amazing sound, feel, and playability. (not to mention it has sweet active electronics and great tone that gives you any sound you want!) To top it off it has a low B string that has absolutely no buzz. YOU HAVE TO GET IT!!!!
