I recently purchased a Hite Premiere tenor sax mpc through WWBW. I began playing sax in the early '60's through school band programs and did some professional work in the late 60's with soul, R&B and horn bands. I also have a little experience with big band music while in HS. I have recently begun to try to get in shape again on alto and tenor sax, having about raised our four children, which, as you know, a lot of us older horn players are doing. I applaud the Hite Premium. Although affordable enough to be attractive to younger folks in school band programs, in my opinion the mpc is more than capable of pleasing professional-level players. The mpc produces a lovely warm tone throughout the horn with excellent responsiveness. I'm impressed and heartily recommend this mpc for just about any possible musical genre.
This is incredibly versatile, true to its description, and is quite adapting for all the playing I do: jazz, classical, and rock. It is not the best of any world, but it the fact that it can perform extremely well in all areas combined with its incredible price makes it an amazing buy. This mouthpiece will not let you down in any situation, and though better mouthpieces exist, they will cost much more. I highly recommend this as an intermediate level mouthpiece, or a mouthpiece for anyone who plays a large variety of music. Don't pass this deal up; the best quality is the price.
This was a great mouthpiece. I was looking for a new mouthpiece because my old one was broken, and a store recommended this mouthpiece. So I bought it and it was great!! I can use it for all of my music and bands. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs an all around good tenor mouthpiece.
