I just love the sound and feel of this mute. I used to own the aluminum version, but love the copper even more. Very centered, great intonation and projection. Yes, it's heavy. So what? Has never fallen out of my bell.

Nice warm sound, but very heavy

Comments about Jo-Ral 2C Trumpet Aluminum/Copper Bubble Mute:

I purchased this mute a couple of years ago. It has a wonderfully warm sound (with or without the stem). The stem doesn't stay in place very well, but it's mostly manageable. My biggest and only real concern is the weight. Since I play the copper version of this mute, this places a lot of weight on the front in of the horn, which alters the way my muscles grip the valve assembly. A long night of playing like this can wear you out. The weight also tends to make the mute fall out of the bell. Having said all this, I really like the SOUND of the mute, which I consider to be the single most important aspect.
