This stand works great especially if you switch from horn to horn. It's very well made and fits the horn well. I highly recomend it to any curved soprano saxophonist.
I have been using one of these for my Yanagisawa SC901 for over a year now. This is a very solid stand, with only one less-than-perfect aspect: the "horseshoe" is either a little too deep (or not quite the right angle). If you push the horn in until the front of the bell contacts rubber, then the side edges of the bell are not parallel with the edges of the horseshoe, so the sax is a little unstable. I have found that it sits in there just fine if I set it so that the sides of the bell rest on the rubber arms of the horseshoe. The front of the bell isn't touching anything, but it's still plenty stable because it is supported at three points - the two side edges of the bell and the front down near the bow. This aspect of its use probably varies with different instrument models, since they may have different bell angles. It's not perfect for the Yani, but it's definitely better than laying it on the case or the floor.
Well, I am currently buying one for the curved soprano, but I have a Konig and Meyer Bari sax stand and I love it. I also have a Konig and Meyer bass/contrabass clarinet stand, its also very good. They have my approval.
At last, a saxophone stand for the curved soprano! I bought mine last year and it works exactly as I need it to. It's stable, lightweight, and looks professional onstage. No more leaving the soprano in or on the case during rehearsal or performance. I heartily recommend this stand for all you crazy people like me who prefer the sweet round sound of the curved soprano saxophone over the nasal, oboe-like noise that is the straight soprano. Now, if we can persuade a manufacturer to make a soprano/alto and soprano/tenor double saxophone stand...
