Mine extends 52 inches, and that's to the top of the rod section. The top of your music could be at 64 inches. I tried placing a three ring binder on it when fully extended. It will hold up fine, but on a wooden stage, it would sway. At a typical height, it is very steady. It holds pages very well compared to a typical wire stand. The desk can be positioned at any angle up to about 45 degrees. With a heavy book, you would not want it that far back, especially at full height or without a leg directly behind. For practical purposes, it will do everything a typical wire stand would do and then give you extra flexibility and quality of build. Was this review useful?
