By far the most 'playable' horn in my quiver - and it shares company with a Yamaha Xeno and Bach Strad. Beautiful tone with a proper cornet mouthpiece. Kanstul bills this horn as a 'good bridge' to a professional insturment. I would argue this horn is every bit as good as a pro horn. I use it in any situation I can get away with playing cornet. The 731 is an excellent horn at an excellent price.
I've played the cornet for 3 years and then beginning my 4th year I decided I needed a new cornet, so my band director let me choose one on WWBW and then got pricing for it. When I received the cornet, the only problem was the valves weren't oiled, and for some odd reason the case smelled and still smells like carmex! The instrument plays great, and this is my first year in marching band the sound is really nice. It is easy to play loud for marching. Overall the instrument is very nice. (The little rubber tip on the end of the spit valve will fall off, so I suggest fixing that).
