I had a fantastic Bach C with a Blackburn leadpipe and tuning slide but this horn is even better. It is free blowing and in tune over the whole horn. I rarely need to use any alternate fingurings. The sound is big, even when I play soft but will cut through anything when I open up. I have also had good success on playing peddle tones when I need them which I could never do before. I use this horn for playing first parts or in the section with equally good results and have had many people say I have never sounded better than I do on this horn. I would recommend this instrument to anyone especially who, lilke me, makes C trumpet their main horn.
