Regardless of what people say about Selmer, or the like. No one makes a horn like ther Germans. I've been a Keilwerth player for quite a few years now and am fully convinced they make the best horns in the world. When I tried this horn, I was once again, blown away by the sound, projection, action, and intoneation of the horn. I promptly put my horn on ebay and bought one. The description is right on in saying that it's a similar sound to the regular SX90r, but with with more focus and punch. That's the exact word I used when I first played this horn - Punch!
Wow...I just purchased a Keilwerth Nickel Silver Tenor and it's amazing! Big ,deep, beautiful sound that really speaks! I played Selmers through the years and was quite happy, they're very nice horns. I can say though that Keilwerth are by far the best horns I've ever played. .I play on a Keilwerth Shadow Alto(nickel silver with black laquer) and it's also an amazing axe. These are very well made instruments with alot of soul and character to the sound Anyone who is serious about sound and a horn that will be with them for the rest of thier days look into a Kielwerth. You won't be disapointed!
