well, I know Roger Ingram uses them and Bobby Shew. You have to have the right tool for the job so if it is diffused you are looking for then these would be a great option. High notes probably not but then of course there are lots of other golf clubs to choose from for just that right shot.
I loved the sound I got out of these mouthpieces. (I've played on every size), but it isn't a sound well suited for a concert band or orchestra. They gave me a very diffused and dark tone which I found great for jazz solo work. The problem is I can't really get them to zip like I can my SchilkeÆs or BachÆs. So if youÆre worried about comfort or temperature or if you just want that soft Maynard Fergusson tone, then you can't go wrong with a Kelly. But for a concert setting they really are not a good option. I only wish they came in more sizes.
