The King marching euph isn't really bad, it's just not good either. It doesn't have as many features as other marching euphs, but what it does have, it does pretty well. I prefer G marching euph's to Bb, and a thumb-slide would've been nice to keep it more in tune. It's a bit awkward, too, but I haven't really found a marching euph that does a nice job of weight distribution yet.
I've marched Mandrians Drum Corps. for two yrs and those are the horns we use.
It has a great Quality and Great sound and a very unique feel.
Some of the best money I've spent on marching band was for a set of these beauties. This baby actually sounds like a Euphonium getting a lovely sound with no major pitch issues throughout the practical range... A real difference maker when it comes to ensemble sound. Sure, its a bit front heavy, but if you've got players who are serious about making a mature sound, they'll learn to deal with the added weight.
