Whoever invented this is a genious. I play flute and piccolo and this beats the heck out of trying to balance my piccolo on the shelf of my music stand (which I used to do at one time...). It folds up nicely and doesn't take up any more room than a magic marker. I have the flute stand too and I love that also.
