The Pandeiro is the Brazilian version of the tambourine, though dryer and more contained.
The LP Rio Wood Pandeiro is their first truly authentic Brazilian folkloric model. The Pandeiro features a 10" head with shallow 1-3/4" deep shell. The tambourine's shell is lightweight to reduce hand fatigue and increase playability. Also promoting comfort is a special smoothing of the LP Pandeiro's interior shell. Its head is an attractive black synthetic, offset nicely by chrome hardware. Seven tuning screws are well-spaced to accommodate various hand sizes and to fix head tension securely. Six sets of melodious, dry jingles produce the signature Brazilian Pandeiro tone. LP includes a carry bag with the Rio Wood Pandeiro.
