Legere reeds provide a premium, exceptional synthetic alternative for musicians of all levels. The excellent response and intonation garnered from these clarinet and saxophone reeds has made them popular throughout the world. Their reeds are trusted by professional musicians in such symphonies as the London Philharmonia, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Beyond professional clarinetists and saxophonists, Legere also has an excellent line of reeds for students and advancing musicians.

Guy Legere founded the company in 1998 with Dr. Mark Korschot. Legere had long sought after an ideal synthetic material to use in the construction of reeds. When he found it, he began the company and began producing reeds admired the world over. The reeds are cut and manufactured using computer controlled machinery ensuring reliable consistency and precision. These reeds feel and sound like a natural reed but have the advantage of being highly responsive, durable, and consistent.

Among the reeds available from Legere is the Signature Series which was designed with the elite professional musician in mind. These reeds have been tested with exceptional musicians like Barnaby Robson and Larry Combs. Combs, the former Principal Clarinet in Chicago, greatly admires these reeds for their natural qualities. The Signature Series reeds produce a deep, warm sound that is greatly sought after. The original cuts such as the Bb Soprano Clarinet Reed are accessible to musicians at all levels. These early reeds are ideal for school orchestras and marching bands. Among the clarinet reeds there is also a Quebec Cut, which is slightly darker than the original, and a responsive Ontario Cut. The German Cut Bb Clarinet Reed is designed for the German System and has become wildly popular in Germany and Austria.

The saxophone reeds also have a Signature Series which possesses similar qualities to its clarinet counterpart. The original saxophone reeds are best utilized in classical music. There is also a Studio Cut line which is flexible and free blowing making it an ideal reed for a new player.
