Delta 1010
Your studio, then and now.
Just a few years ago there was a big difference between the home studio, the project studio, and the pro studio. As technology has become more powerful and more affordable, the quality and features that used to be available only to pro studios have become more and more accessible to everyone. Today, a computer-based recording system with one or more Delta 1010's and the right software surpasses what have been considered "pro" systems. The kind of power that used to command a $10-20,000 price tag can now be harnessed for a fraction of that cost.
Why the Delta 1010?
Sound quality, performance, and superior driver technology are a few of the reasons that the Delta 1010 has established worldwide recognition as a top choice in PCI-based digital audio solutions. With its superb engineering and ultra-high quality conversion, the fidelity of the Delta 1010 surpasses systems that cost many times more. The 1010 offers the professional performance required by today's most popular software programs, and provides you with features like 24-bit 96 kHz recording, zero latency hardware monitoring and digital mixing.
What about specs?
M-Audio is proud to use only specifications of production units. While other companies quote specs of their converters alone in laboratory settings, the numbers you see on this box represent the actual unit in your hands. Since people often rely heavily on specs when deciding what gear to buy, M-Audio prefers to bring you numbers that really mean something.
What about drivers?
Drivers are what allows your card to communicate with audio applications. M-Audio offers drivers compliant with almost every possible application on the market. For Macintosh, there are both Sound Manager and several different versions of ASIO. For Windows, there are ASIO, ASIO2, GSIF, EASI, as well as multi-client WDM (Win 2K) and MME drivers. Multiclient drivers allow you to use multiple applications simultaneously, allowing you to run sequencers, soft-synths, and other programs at the same time. M-Audio is committed to supporting both MacOS X and Windows XP.
