If you are searching for a great horn, you must stop searching & try a MACSAX product. You know that players try different saxophones to get the sound of a Mark VI, but after spending a huge amount of money & frustration, buying and repairing the well-known brands e.g. Selmer, Yanagisawa, Kielworth, Yamaha and so many more, I finally discovered MACSAX and purchased an alto Empyreal. When I put my best mouthpiece on this solid good looking horn which was, at the time, a metal Berg Larsen, I could not believe what I heard and in addition, the keys had a light feel. Both my wife and I thought I was using my broken Mark VI. My wife shouted from the kitchen asking ?Did you fix your Mark VI?. My response was: Come in here and check-out this sax! She and I were delighted by the sound and look of this sax. I bought a soprano, tenor & baritone over the course of 2 years and all 4 proved to best I had played during my 40+ year career as a player; don't try others when MACSAX "blows them away!"
Prior to this horn I had solely played and toured with a 30's Buescher that was sadly showing its age and I had despaired of ever finding a new horn that could measure up. That notion is void now that I've found this fabulous instrument. Its just a fantastic, easy playing great sounding horn top to bottom. Supremely well built and stunning to behold with the silver finish. My highest recommendation.
