Brings comfort and style to a whole new level.
The Meinl Ergo-Shape Pedal Cajon is distinguished by two special features: Meinl's German patented ergonomic curved frontplate and a specially designed foot pedal that adjusts the snare wires while it's being played.
Made from exotic African Bubinga wood, the cajon's ergonomically shaped frontplate has a slight curve (Ergo-Shape) that follows the natural contour of your hands for playing comfort. As a result, you'll find yourself playing for longer periods of time due to the comfort of this frontplate.
The pedal attached to the cajon drum adjusts the amount of pressure used to press the snare wires against the front plate, and can even be turned off completely. This system allows the player to change the settings of the snare wires, while playing a rhythm with both hands without interruption.
Like all Meinl cajons, the top corners are also adjustable for even more variety of sounds. Loosen and you will get a louder slap sound, tighten and you will get a more subtle sound, with less volume.
You will feel the difference. Order today.

Comments about Meinl Ergo-Shape Pedal Cajon:
I play guitar and keys (I'm not a percussionist) but wanted a cajon to play when friends come over to jam. I tried entry level instruments but the tone quality just wasn't there. This is a mid-level instrument but approaches the tone quality of a pro-level cajon (which are 2x the price.) Being able to play with or without snare really extends the range (rock, latin.) But some of the instruments I looked at require reaching inside to make that change. The pedal is quick, convenient, and you can switch "on the fly." There is also an adjustment lug underneath that lets you set how tightly the snare strings press against the front plate. The Meinl pedal cajon sounds great but really shines when you mic it. (Use a dynamic mic 6" - 12" from the sound hole pointed straight in.) Playing into a PA or a recording set up you'll think you are hearing a bass/snare from a drum kit. With the snare off you'll get fair imitation of latin drums. This mid-level cajon is a great investment if you are starting out. It give pro-level tone that will keep you interested and is a quality instrument that you won't out grow. I give this one 5+ stars!
