I didn't believe the guy when I bought these things at the music store, but they really do work. Just take them off to tune, then if ya still got a big overtone, put them back on. Who would ever think a little piece of gel would dampen that well?...Oh, and to clean them, ya just stick them in the sink...it's amazing...

I had a set of Aquarian studio rings for my drumset... but I could never get the right sound out of my toms. The rings would dampen the drums too much, so I thought I would try some Moongels just to see how they would work, and boy did they! these things are fantastic.Just slap them on and presto, great sound without too much dampening (granted it helps if the drums are tuned well) but none the less, buy these things, they are great!
