Neotech Classic StrapClassic Strap offers the sophisticated performer a comfortable alternative. The new tailored design is great for saxophone, bass clarinet, English horn, bassoon, oboe and other instruments. The neoprene outer strap evenly distributes the weight while the internal system absorbs the shock of movements normally felt in the neck and shoulders. Classic Strap minimizes the strap movement while maximizing the comfort.

I was trying to save some money and get a new strap so I bought this one thinking it was going to be a quality strap that does not put too much pressure on my neck. It was definitely a good quality strap, but all weight is on the neck. Now while the elasticity of the strap alleviates some of the pressure it does not change the fact that the strap exclusively sits on the neck. I would definitely recommend to be bought as a backup strap but using this for multiple hours for gigs/practice is killer.
I'm 6' 2" & I have a 19" neck - so you can imagine the difficulty in finding a strap long enough for playing tenor & bari sax. Previous straps I've owned required me pulling them out as long as possible in order to get the horn far enough away from me to play. Most straps force my head back or forward, depending on whether I'm sitting or standing. Neotech's Classic strap (extra-long) actually provides me 3-4 inches of slack! Additionally, I can now hold my head straight up (much better for posture and much less back pain). It's reasonably comfortable. My only suggestions would be to add a thicker neoprene pad and to use a less-hard thermoplastic for the spring-loaded hook. I think in drier climates, the hook might be prone to breaking from brittleness.
