I've been an active musician for 11 years nowand have used this neck strap since day one. I have just now ordered a replacement for my old neotech neck strap which has faithfully lasted the whole 11 years of my time as a musician. The strap is comfortable and light and holds the instrument well, allowing for a decent amount of freedom in your movement. Some people claim that it's "bouncy" but this is generally just an issue of have the strap pulled up to far, which is easily adjustable. This is really a great strap and I'd recommend it to anybody.
I play bari sax in my high school marching band, anyone that knows about the bari will say that it is quite heavy. But I put this neck strap on and it felt like an alto.
Great strap! the only drawback is that it is very bouncy, so if you don't pay attention your pitch will go sharp or flat.
Plain and simple, everyone should have one of these straps. I have been using one for years. Surprisingly the same strap works for playing alto, tenor, bari. The only drawback to this strap is that it's hard to wear when you have a concert and are dressed in a tux or suit. But I'm able to ignore this considering I only have to wear a suit or tux about 1-2 hours every couple of months compared to 15-20 hours of practice I get in every week. Every sax player should own one of these.
I have used 4 Neotech neckstraps in my 4 years of high school marching band tenor sax. It also works great anywhere whether it be small jazz combo or wind ensemble.
My first Neotech was used through my entire freshmen marching season plus wind ensemble and band camp of my sophmore year before I had to replace it. The past three years (including this year) I have used only one neck strap per season.
The only problem with the Neotech is that is absorbs sweet. This year (and this year only) it gave the people in my section who use neotech (and several altos) a minor infection; however, washing it everyother week and washing your neck will solve this.
This is the only neckstrap that I recomend to anyone playing sax (or any other similar instrument) especialy if you are in marching band.
