Product Description
Nomata
The response of the Nomata head is the hallmark of these fine Japanese instruments. The player will find the tone of the Nomata Series II flute as even and lively in the low register as it is in the high. Placing this head on the silver plated body of the Nomata Series II makes for a flute that produces magnificent performance qualities at a highly affordable price.
Product Overview and Specifications
Never before has a flute of this level had a headjoint of this outstanding quality.”

This reaction is exactly our goal. Even for the beginner it is easy to play the Nomata Flute. The handmade headjoint is easy to control. From high to low, the tone is splendid and it keeps good tension at all ranges. The low register has wonderful volume and a good response. The middle register has a sweet and smooth sound. The high register is free of stress and is not shrill.

We have achieved this outstanding head design by focusing on the fact that the flute has three different registers, each having different modes of vibration. Thus we make a head that adjusts to those three different registers by allowing the performer the flexibility needed to produce the tone desired.

We manufacture each headjoint by hand with gold plating on the crown. On the silver headjoint we put a dull silver emblem.

THE MECHANISM - “Our greatest hope is that you will never be worried about the instrument”.

The strong body is designed with a mechanism that has an amazingly fluid action yet durable enough to provide years of good service without the fear of breaking down. It also has a beautiful finish. We are proud of our flute, and we think you will be happy with it too.

It is always nice to have something new, and the purchase of a Nomata HS 2RPH offset G low B foot several months ago was better than nice. I am a fortunate player for I am working with my own bands 4 nights a week. I switch between sax, clarinet, and flute during most songs, and the Nomata flute unfailingly provides the voicing that I deside with great ease and without a great amount of concentration on the change of embouchure . In a nutshell, this instrument plays very easily, and though it has a brighter voice than my Haynes, it really works with all or selections. When it comes to Latin selections, it not only plays smoothly, but it's beautiful voice makes it easy to express yourself. The instrument was play tested by Sue Shockey at WW&BW before shipment and there were some minor adjustments made and It played astoundingly well right out of the box. This flute is a great value, beautifully made, and it really suits my needs.
