A variety of hi-end recording equipment and microphones were used to record Neil Percy, principal percussionist of the London Symphony Orchestra as he demonstrated different techniques of playing everything from castanets and cowbells to maracas to the woodblock. He also created different timbres on instruments as diverse as bass drums, orchestral crash cymbals, tambourines, and a whip. Requires NOTION music software. |
