Comments about PDP DP402 Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I've had this pedal for a little over a year. It was my first double pedal so i dont have much to compare with but I think its the perfect beginner double pedal. Its mega cheap and works perfectly fine. Only thing i don't like about it is you have to use a key to attach the main pedal and the beaters are rather light and not very effective. i switched to Gibraltar beaters and now it sounds great. I would only reccomend this if you're looking to begin double pedal, because right now i'm looking into a new one cause this one does wear out - but still you get what you want and doesnt damage your wallet!

Comments about PDP DP402 Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I went and bought this pedal and at first I thought that it was a little hard to prees down, but I had to wear it down. This pedal is by far the fastest and most consistant pedal that I have used. I have used iorn cobra and dw 7000. I dont think they really compare to other pedals.

Comments about PDP DP402 Double Bass Drum Pedal:

This pedal was o.k, but for beginners. When I got it I loosened the springs alot so that made it alot easier to use. I would recomend lubeing it up also, maybe with some WD-40. But when I was using it I thought it was great.

Comments about PDP DP402 Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Well, if you want to buy these pedals get ready for bad days for your legs :) Springs are very tight. I tried to adjust them but unfortunately with no luck. So I decided to change springs. But other than that its good pedal. You get what you want for this price.

Comments about PDP DP402 Double Bass Drum Pedal:

This isn't the greatest pedal out there, but for the price, it's much better than I expected. Out of the box, the spring tension is pretty high so you have to put a pretty lot of effort if you're going really fast. For short double bass beats it's fine, although, if you tend to hit the pedal hard, the beater likes to bounce off your foot. I've gotten a couple mean bruises that way, but no pain no gain, right? If set up right, the pedal stays together just fine. The only issue is if you're not playing on a carpet, you have to duct tape the left pedal down, but that's the case with pretty much any pedal. The beaters themselves are durable. I've had this for about three months now and I've used this pedal a lot and the beaters are showing minimal wear. Overall, this pedal isn't the best thing out there. It's not an Iron Cobra/9000/Eliminator, but if you're on a budget this will definitely serve your needs.

Comments about PDP DP402 Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I have had this pedal for about 2 years now and it is stil as good as when i got it. The only bad part about this pedal is that in the middle of when i am playing, the 2 pedals sometimes disconnect. It doesn't happen that often. Just make sure that you make them really tight. Other than that they are great pedals. I would definitely recommend this pedal for a first timer for a double pedal. Its alot of fun. I would say it is just as good as a 300$ pedal and its well worth the price.
