Parduba Trumpet Mouthpiece SeriesFaithful reissues of the classic Parduba double cup trumpet mouthpieces. The double cup design enables a great ease of playing in the high register. Inner diameters runs from 3(smallest) to 8 (largest). The Original Parduba Mouthpieces (Double-Cup)Gives you two mouthpieces in one. The scientific reaming of the top cup furnishes the shallow cup which is necessary to secure the extreme high tones and they come with the greatest of ease, G a bad tone for many performers, comes true. High Bb comes as effortless and with as great volume as G is ordinarily produced. The extreme high tones, which occur occasionally in ordinary music and frequently in solo playing or in difficult passages, are produced more easily and with full volume because the shallow upper cup puts them within reach by increasing the performers range. This is accomplished with the Parduba Double-Cup Mouthpiece without sacrificing tone quality or volume in the middle and lower registers because the lower part of the cup is of the regular conventional bore.

I had bought this mouthpiece about a year ago. I started with a #4 but it was a little too small for me, I couldn't put as much air in to the horn as I'm use to. So I went up to a #5 and I love it. It's really easy for to play high notes plus I can play with ease. I also like the sound it produces, not to bright, nor to dark.
Well to start this off I have been playing trumpet for about 6 years now. Since I started playing I?ve been in a way "collecting" mouthpieces. I currently own 53 trumpet mouthpieces. Will all those in mind i would have to say my Parduba #8 is my favorite one. I love my new mouthpiece to death. I am used to playing and big diameter cups so I decided to try the biggest cup Parduba could offer. I was flabbergasted to see how I could go from my screaming C and straight down two octaves to a low C. this is due to its double cup structure. Being a first trumpet player in marching band this is very useful. It can keep its tone quality no matter what note you?re switching down to or even up. It?s a little heavier than most mouthpieces but that?s just part of its structural perfection. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an out of the ordinary mouthpiece this would the perfect one
I've used all kinds of mouthpieces... Bach, Bach Megatone, Monette, Yamaha regular and 16C4, Stork, Schilke, etc. My lip "bottomed out" in shallow mouthpieces, but with deeper mouthpieces I had to work to get any kind of high range. Parduba mouthpieces provide the kind of rich, quality tone I love yet also helping increase playing in higher ranges and also help with endurance. Great product. I use a Parduba 7 on my Bach Strad. Perfect fit for me.
I play a heavy wall pro horn, and was looking for a mouthpiece that would brighten up the upper register when playing lead without sacrificing the rich bottom and mid tones...well, this mouthpiece is definitely the right one. The #5 is perfect...everyone I play with has commented on the incredible tone! Be warned, though - it's not for everyone. You can hurt yourself by over blowing! It took me awhile to learn to control it, but boy, was it worth it. I haven't touched another mpc since.
I started with my first Parduba 12 years ago. Still in high school I was looking for the miracle mouthpiece and would help me play higher. I went with the Harry James 4 1/2 size and found it was too small of cup. Then I tried 4 1/2 standard Parduba and it was perfect. (James modals are shallower) I use it for all around playing. I can play longer and at ease. There is a big difference in sound from other mouthpieces. For me it projected a much richer more brassy sound.
