This is a wonderful stand. It is much thicker and stronger than the photo would show, and it is much stronger than the "plastic" word shows. It is easier to unfold and put together than my metal folding stand, and very very difficult to hurt yourself on. It has a very wide shelf and page holders. The bag is tough and good looking and commands respect, which the contents deserve.
This is the best stand I've ever used. It's lightweight, very portable and easy to fold up. It has the stability and holding power of a metal Manhasset stand without the weight or cost, plus you can carry it anywhere! When my quintet saw my stand, they all wanted one and got them-- now we match. It works really well outside; it won't blow over in the wind and helps keep your music in place too.
