BBb and CC-Tuba Models:

PT-36

Cup Diameter : 33 mm diameter. Moderate depth and funnel shaped.
Rim : Width 7.5 mm. Medium sharp inner, rounded outer edge.
Bore : 8.3 mm
Model PT-36 is ideal for large-bore instruments where fast response is desired. The relatively narrow rim provides remarkable flexibility and the cup has adequate depth necessary for good tone.
PT-44

Cup Diameter : 33 mm diameter. Medium-large depth, funnel- shaped.
Rim : Width 7.5 mm. Rounded inner and sharp outer edges.
Bore : 8.4 mm
Model PT-44 provides a strong fundamental and colorful sound. It gives good projection to larger instruments. The fine response and flexibility makes this an excellent mouthpiece for the modern CC tuba player.
PT-48

Cup Diameter : 33.0 mm diameter. Deep, funnel-shaped cup.
Rim : Width 8 mm. Rounded inner and outer edges.
Bore : 8.3 mm
Model PT-48 is based on the classic Helleberg concept yet slightly wider than standard mouthpieces. The rim is enhanced for quick response and clarity. The sound is dark with a pronounced core. Excellent for medium-large and large-bore CC and BBb tubas. Model PT-48 is the ideal selection for those who determine that the PT-36 and PT-44 are a bit too small, and the PT-50 and PT-88 too large.

Cup Diameter : 33 mm diameter. Deep, funnel-shaped cup.
Rim : Width 7.5 mm. Flat rim with sharp inner edge.
Bore : 8.3 mm
Model PT-50 has a large and deep cup. The sharp inner rim aids articulation and tonal clarity in this well-above-average cup size. The PT-50 provides huge dynamic range and fast response. It aids low register playing while still providing a good upper range. It is recommended for advanced players who prefer a truly large mouthpiece.
Available in both standard and heavy shell PT-50+ versions.
PT-82

Cup Diameter : 32.5 mm diameter. Moderately shallow. Very round cup.
Rim : Width 8.0 mm. Rounded rim with slightly sharp inner edge.
Bore : 8.2 mm.
Model PT-82 provides a sound with strong center, a high level of projection and an abundance of overtones without obvious brightness.
Optimized low register response.
PT-83

Cup Diameter : 32 mm diameter. Long V-shaped funnel cup.
Rim: Width 7.5 mm. Fairly sharp inner edge. Moderately round rim.
Bore : 8.6 mm.
Model PT-83 offers a unique, deep funnel cup, a narrow, sharp rim combined with a relatively large throat bore. Recommended for medium and medium-large bore tubas. The response is very smooth, the sound has a distinct dark quality in all registers.
PT-84

Cup Diameter : 32 mm diameter. Bowl-shaped, deep cup.
Rim : Width 8.0 mm. Well-rounded inner and outer edges.
Bore : 8.0mm
Model PT-84 provides a clear sound. It is very flexible, has a good upper range, and gives a very quick response for a mouthpiece of this size, particularly in the low range. This is a very popular mouthpiece, recommended for CC- and BBb tubas.
PT-88 Perantucci Best Seller!

Cup Diameter : 33.5mm diameter. Wide, deep cup.
Rim : 7.0 mm Flat, well-defined inner edge.
Bore : 8.1 mm
The PT-88 along with the PT-50 constitute the most preferred and widely used large contrabass tuba mouthpieces in the Perantucci line. The cup is wider yet not quite as deep as that of the PT-50. The sound has great strength and depth. Also available as a heavy shell design, the PT-88+ which incorporates modified cup and bore specifications as well as additional shell weight for unprecedented stability and projection of the sound.
PT-89

Cup Diameter : 32.0 mm diameter. Bowl-shaped, moderately depth.
Rim : 8.5 mm Moderate width, rounded inner and other edges
Bore : 8.35 mm
The PT-89 rim is similar to that of the PT-84 yet the cup diameter is
less than mouthpieces such as the PT-44, PT-48, PT-50 or PT-88. The
mouthpiece is easy and comfortable to play, particularly for those who
find the others too big. This mouthpiece produces a broad, dark sound
with very strong center. Highly recommended for medium and large bore CC
and BBb tubas.
Please note that Models PT-48, PT-50, PT-83 and PT-88 are available in
standard and "Perantucci Plus" Heavy Shell versions.

F and Eb Tuba Models:

Model PT-24

Cup Diameter : 31 mm Moderately deep, well rounded at bottom.
Rim : 10 mm Wide cushion rim.
Bore : 8.5 mm
An excellent general purpose mouthpiece for F, Eb, CC and BBb tubas
featuring a comfortable rim and a large throat bore for depth of tone
and volume. Optimized for solid sound with good projection and accurate
response in all registers. Available in both standard and heavy shell
PT-24+ versions.

PT-65

Cup Diameter: 32mm Medium depth, strongly round.
Rim : 8.5mm : Rounded with well defined inner contact point.
Bore : 7.8mm
Model PT-65 provides a lively and exciting sound with a clear core and
great accuracy in all ranges. It is recommended especially for the F and
Eb tubas, giving great power and a commanding nature for solo
performances with large accompanying ensembles, or for use in executing
the high-range orchestral literature. This is one of the most popular
F-tuba mouthpieces ever offered.
PT-72

Cup Diameter : 32.5 mm diameter. Moderately rounded at bottom.
Rim : Width 8 mm. Fairly sharp inner edge, moderately round rim.
Bore : 8.1 mm.
Model PT-72 is a truly large F-Tuba mouthpiece. For the dedicated player
it provides amazing breadth and depth of tone, the vibrancy one
associates with the F-tuba combined with a full-sounding powerful low
register.
Perantucci tuba mouthpieces are available with both "European" (large)
and "American" (smaller) shank sizes. The latter include "S" after the
model number.


Model PT-36 produces the depth and volume of sound required by today's symphony orchestras. The relatively narrow rim provides remarkable flexibility for a mouthpiece of this size. This is a very popular mouthpiece.PT44

THROAT BORE: .322" Model PT-88 was primarily intended as a special applications mouthpiece for low register playing. However, it has found considerable acceptance for use on medium-large and large bore CC tubas. It serves very well on any BBb tuba, providing a very full and strong tone. Moderate 32 mm diameter cup with an 8 mm rim, well rounded for comfort and a dark sound.
Large 8.3 mm throat easily controlled by the heavily rounded cup bottom. This is a great mouthpiece for the larger horns to keep them from getting too "woofy".PT90
A cup diameter of 31.8 mm that is rather deep and well rounded at the bottom with a 7.5 mm rim well rounded both inside and out. The 8.3 mm throat is easily tamed by the rounded cup and the sound is clean and well defined but with a good core to it.
