The great folks at Fuchs Audio Technology had a very simple objective: Create a delay pedal that delivered the warmth and musicality of tape, without the hassles and costs of replacing tapes, belts, motors and maintenance. Sure, everyone loves the sound of tape, but who needs all the hassles?
The Plush Replay Jr. Digital Delay Pedal features from 2-milliseconds to one second of pure warm musical delay. Using the same unique circuit topology as its bigger brother, the Replay, The Replay Jr. has a true high-voltage-switching power supply, providing 300 volts to operate a genuine Class-A tube audio stage. This pedal also features the same proprietary great-sounding digital technology used in many Plush delay and reverb pedals. The guitar pedal's enclosure is cast aluminum, and precision machined. It features ultra-bright LEDs for highest visibility on stage or even outdoors. The control panel features LEDs for: Echo, mute, and tempo indication. The Plush Replay Jr. operates as simply as a tape delay-no fancy programming, or software silliness. It's designed by musicians for musicians.
The control panel is clear, concise, and user-friendly. The centerpiece of the panel is the unique window allowing you to see the warm tube glow, as well as the pilot lamp and peak LED showing when maximum signal level is approached. The controls are delay time, mix, wow, flutter, repeats, and fidelity. The Plush Delay Jr. pedal's fidelity control allows you to tailor the repeats from digitally clear to analog tape smoothness. An internal switch allows you to set the output to delay only for use through a parallel effects loop, or for stereo ping-pong operation. Wow and Flutter controls allow you to add pitch variation to the delayed signal allowing adjustment of both the frequency and depth of the modulation. At short delays it provides a lush chorus-like effect, and at longer delays it sounds like a well-worn vintage Echoplex tape delay. The Plush Replay Jr. delay pedal operates just as simply as a tape delay: No fancy programming, or software silliness. It's designed by musicians for musicians.
The analog signal remains pure and analog. The pedal provides an active mixer stage using a 12AX7 tube, which mixes the wet and dry signals together in the tube, adding warmth and musicality whether the delay is on or off. This is a full-time active buffered pedal, intentionally designed as a non-true bypass to take advantage of the tube audio circuitry.
While the Plush Replay Jr. may be used on a pedal board in front of an amplifier, for optimum performance, we recommend use in an active effects loop. The Plush Replay Jr. is simple to operate its unique retro styling is equally at-home in a studio, as it is on a stage.
All Plush effect pedals feature: Cast aluminum housings, industrial powder coat finish, heat-cured silkscreen labeling, true bypass, Cliff switch, Neutrik connectors, metal shaft controls, premium boutique-quality passive components selected for tone, mil spec fiberglass two sided circuit board construction for consistent long-term performance, and a 5-year warranty.
