Comments about Pomarico Crystal Soprano Sax Mouthpiece:
My quest for a warm, sweet, and mello soprano mouthpiece has ended at last. I have tried Selmer's, Rousseau's, Bari HR, Vandoren's, Kessler Custom, Caravan, Morgan, and Yamaha. The Pomarico is by far warmer than all the mouthpieces mentioned with the Vandoren V5 S25 coming in a close second. The Caravan would have won but projection and flexibility count and the Caravan failed in both areas. The Pomarico gives flexibility, adequate projection, and warm sound. When pushed it projects and has enough edge to be used in a jazz setting. I tend to play music with feeling when warm is good and edge necessary to create emotion. The only negative is the Pomerico has a steep ramp much like a clarinet. I can live with that given the sound I have finally found. You won't be disappointed
