When I bought a pair of the ATP2 promark staccato timpani mallets, I was expecting it to look like the picture model that is included in this site. However, when I recieved them, they are much more rounded and thicker than I expected. So don't base your opinion on the look of the picture. But overall, it seems to be a relatively good and sturdy product. These timpani mallets are heavier and longer than the Vic Firth T3 staccato. Personally, I am not entirely satisfied (I prefer the Vic Firth mallets), but I suppose its just preference.
