Product Overview and Specifications
Promark Japanese White Oak Wood Tip Drum Sticks

Selecting a Stick
Choosing the "best" drumstick is a very personal decision. Many drummers have not yet discovered how much better they could play using the correct stick. It's not unusual for professionals to use 2 or 3 different models or more. Factors to consider when choosing a drumstick include density, straightness of grain, type of wood, weight, length, diameter, wood or nylon tip, plus the intangibles of balance and "feel".

Wood
A consistent supply of premium quality wood means consistent production of the highest quality drumsticks. Pro-Mark's 40 years plus of unequaled success in drumstick production is recognized by the top wood mills in the United States and Japan. This assures Pro-Mark of priority delivery, and guarantees an uninterrupted year-round supply of wood.

Tips
Some drummers prefer the natural sound of wood tips. Others prefer nylon tips for a bright, cymbal sound and longer tip life. Be sure to select a high quality nylon tip for the best sound and service.

Pro-Mark Promise
Whether your sound is heavy metal or light rock, hot funk or cool jazz, or if you march to the beat of a different drummer, Pro-Mark has the drumstick that's just right for you.

I bought some of these sticks when I first started playing out because I was breaking sticks like crazy. I hate using fat sticks, so I tried these. These are some of the strongest sticks I've ever played with and can withstand even fisting at full force. I've had about 4 pairs of these, and I've only broken one stick in less than week. The rest have lasted for several months. Good choice if you are low on money, and need a great, long lasting stick.

I have several different models of the Shira Kashi Oak, mostly 5As and Jazz sizes; some nylon-tipped, some wood. They all play great. Very rigid, and balanced, and the finish is natural and great to the touch. These are a bit heavier than hickory, and yet play with finesse--assuming you have it... I love the solid feel, gunshot rim shots, and confidence they give. And--they are hard to break! A solid 5 stars from yours truly. Great sticks - never had a bad set!

In my two year drumming I've tried hickory, maple, you name it, it didn't work. Then I found japanese oak and I loved it, it lasted me the longest of all my drum sticks. Even big heavy sticks broke much sooner than thin oak ones. GREAT BUY!
