This is the best case ever. The case is very hard and durable and it's very small and compact. You can fit many things into this case including pencils, reeds, polishing cloths, and a tuner. The spacious additional back pocket adds more room for neckstrap and your other items you may use. The inside is padded with super soft velvet and underneath that is memory foam padding. When you shut the case, it has a nice snug fit around the sax so it won't be going anywhere. You can't get a better case at this price from WWBW.
This is a strong case that protects the horn and is comfortable to carry. I play a Cannonball Big Bell and it fits just fine. For anyone questioning the storage capacity, I carry reeds, pencils, a tuner and metronome, polishing and drying cloth, 2 mouthpieces, 2 necks, neck strap, and an Oleg saxophone stand in this case. Nothing has ever been damaged in any way in this case.
It fits my Selmer Mark VI like a second skin. The case is ridged with what seems like a lot of crash protection... though I wouldn't stick it in the cargo hold of an airplane or anything. There's plenty of room, I can fit a pack of reeds and instrument stand in the outside pocket easily. This is infinitely better than the original case for my mkVI.
I have used the ProTec case for my Yanigasawa Alto Sax for about 6 years. It is a durable case and has a lot more storage area than a traditional sax case. When I am carrying a music stand, book of music, and a sax stand, this makes it easier because I can use the shoulder strap to carry my sax on my back. The case has held up extremely well and will no doubt last me for years to come.
I got this saxophone case for christmas 7-8 months ago and I am still in love with it. Before I had to lug around a big plastic case that provides little protection to my alto and weighs a thousand pounds. As soon as I got my horn in this case, there was no going back. It was lighter, there is more room for supplies and accessories, and the strap makes it easier when you are carrying a bunch of stuff to a gig because you can just put your instrument on your back! One thing I would like is room to put music in the pockets. Other than that, simply awesome! Finally, a product well worth the money.
I purchased this case for my middle schooler who travels with her school band. This case has protected the horn and has plenty of room for music and necessary items.
The stitching that attaches the shoulder strap to the bag came undone 12 months and 15 days after purchase. The case has a 12 month warranty. The zippers, hardware, and nylon shell are very durable, but if the stitching give-out, it doesn't matter how good the rest of it is.
I never would get another case.
This case is very convenient. Enough to store a reed case, pens, cork grease, cleaning kits and anything else you can fit in the 2 zippered pockets on either side. Sorry no music stands or saxophone stands will fit. The product images online deceive the customer making it look like there's more pockets than there actually is. I wouldn't say storage on the case is that bad but still the product's photos and description are misleading. There is a shoulder strap and also a handle which makes transporting on one's body easy. You also don't have to worry about damage - it?s pretty sturdy. I would say it?s a good buy considering the price.
My Selmer Reference 54 Limited edition is protected all the time. Whether it's high or low humidity, water, or anything else, it gets the job done. I have room enough for my accessories(Neck strap, reeds, reed case, extra mouthpieces, misc. items,etc...) and sheet music. Also, it's very durable and holds up for a long period of time. In addition, when I purchased the backpack strap, it was way easier and much more comfortable to carry around the case.
