I got this case to be a sturdier version of my gig bag. It's not much larger than a gig bag but it offers much greater protection. Now if I travel, I can place this in an airline overhead or in a car trunk and not worry about the instrument getting damaged. It is very well made and has lots of extra room. The side pocket holds a lot (even room for a straight mute).

I recently got a Xeno, which came with the wooden double case, which was good for marching band(didn't march with the xeno), but was too bulky for walking home(in addition, my first and third valve slides would fall out if I held the case vertically) so I got this case about a month ago, and I was very pleased, it was fairly light, compact, and seemed to hold my trumpet quite snugly with a foamy material that molds to my trumpet and mouthpiece. The shoulder strap makes my trek home a lot easier. The case seems very sturdy and protective, as well. The accessories pocket is a little small, it probably won't hold more than 1 mute, but is good for pencils, oil, etc. The organizer in the pocket is also rather useful. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a sturdy, convenient, light case, but not to anyone who requires a lot of storage. However, I think it would work with Pro Tec's mute bag.
