I've had this case since I was in high school, and it definitely served its purpose. This kept my reeds in a safe, dry place when I was wasn't using them. It?s light and can easily fit in any case. Also, you can put Soprano sax reeds in this and it'll hold them just as well as the Alto and Tenor reeds. Great buy, and I would highly recommend this to any of my future students.

"Great for Alto and Clarinet; not very good for Tenor"

First off, I really like these cases. They hold a good amount of reeds and the reeds don't warp. Also, while mold grows easily when I use the Rico or Vandoren enclosed cases (maybe because I live in a high humidity area), these keep reeds mold free. There's room enough for a Rico humidpak if you're into that and it still stays free of mold. I use them for both Alto and Clarinet. It doesn't work that great for tenor though. Tenor reeds hang over the edge and depending on the cut of the reed, the case might not even be able to close. When I do get tenor reeds that fit in the slots, I can only use one half of the case because if I tried to use the other as well, it wouldn't shut. Also, the reed slots aren't identical. It's not an issue with alto reeds, but some slots are a little smaller and it feels like you really have to force a tenor reed in there. So the best case scenario is that you have 5 tenor slots instead of 10, and you can leave the other 5 empty or use them on Alto reeds. If you're handy, you might be able to saw off the ends of you tenor reeds slightly to make them fit. Although it may be described sometimes as an alto/tenor case, it is really just an alto case that may or may not be able to accommodate a few tenor reeds. So, highly recommended for Alto and Clarinet. Not recommended for Tenor reeds.

Great case! Keeps reeds mold-free and unwarped as long as you wipe the reed clean before you put it in the case. I've had mine for 6 years and it's still holding strong despite the abuse I've put it through.

NEW - "Excellent Reed Case"

Don't believe what the other negative reviewers have written. This is an excellent reed case that gets the job done and is available for a fraction of what the others cost. I ordered one for saxophone and clarinet.

This reed case is pretty good. It is sturdy and light, and holds a good amount of reeds for the space, however, my reeds tended to get moldy and the case is pretty big. Depending what the conditions are like where you live, this product may or may not be right for you.
