I've been playing the trumpet for many, many years, and have a degree from UNC for it. I've had my fair share of cases, and I really love this one. I bought it a few months ago, not quite expecting to get something so nice. The double mouthpiece is nice, and I can fit a megatone. I have a Bach Bb, and the case holds it securely with plenty of room (for) a Straight, Cup, Harmon, and Plunger mute. The music section could be a little bigger, but besides that it is amazing. It can even hold a Pep-band flip folder, which is nice. It's soft yet sturdy, and can withstand a fall very well. I highly recommend buying it if you need a reliable case that will last you a long time. Also great for travel!
I really like the amount of room for mute/accessory storage. I have a collapsible trumpet stand, a collapsible battery-powered stand light and a straight mute there with a little room to spare. If I took out the stand, I could fit my Harmon, cup and straight mute in there with room to spare. The side zippered pocket could be a little deeper. A regular sheet of paper - 8.5x11 - fits in, but fairly tightly. Music that is on slightly larger paper won't fit in there without folding. I've had it for a couple of months and like it a lot better than the stock case that came with my current main trumpet (Besson). It feels very solid so far. If the side pocket was a little deeper - to easily hold music wider than 8.5" - then I would give it a 5 star rating.
I bought this as a replacement case for my son's Bach Strad (43 bell). Well-built, good protection. Great fit for horn, leaves room for mutes, oil, slide grease, pencils, tuner, rags, etc. External pocket is handy and adequate. Strap a great feature (for kids and adults alike) and makes carrying it any distance a breeze. Test fit this with several of my own horns, including Bach Strad 37, Conn 15B, Schilke S32 and Schilke B1 - all fit well. Likely getting another one for myself very soon (original case for my Conn is on its last leg...this is my #1 preference).
I have played trumpet for many years. My son began playing in Middle School band this year. I wanted a case that would be easy for him to carry, considering he has a huge book bag at school also. I researched many cases, most of which were more expensive, and this one always had great reviews. After receiving it, I see why! It's lightweight, but very sturdy and offers great protection for his trumpet. The big plus for me was that it came with a shoulder strap, plus you can order a backpack strap, so that it can be carried on the back like a backpack. I'll have to say I was skeptical to order over the internet because I wanted to touch and feel it first, but after receiving this, I am SO GLAD that I ordered it. Don't hesitate to purchase this one. It's extremely roomy and also accommodates the Megatone mouthpiece in the mouthpiece holder. I think it's a great product at a great price!
I have a Getzen trumpet right now, and with it came one of their blue cases. It was alright, but it was annoying not having enough room for all my mutes. So I got this case recently, and it is so much better. I can fit my cup, straight, Harmon, and plunger, some valve oil, and usually whatever else I want to put in it. It works really well.
I just bought this case, and already in love with it! It holds all three of my mutes, and whatever else can fit in it, its AWESOME! it may be a bit big, but its worth the extra storage space :)
I bought this case a little over a year ago. The main case section fits the form of Bachs and Schilkes, Bb and C (not sure about other keys, Eb, G, etc.) The mute area is large enough for Straight, Cup, Harmon, and Plunger mutes. The front zipper area also holds ALOT of stuff, tuners, metronomes, music, pencils, you name it. It's also very durable, on the outside.
Drawbacks include: 1) Certain mouthpiece holders will not fit, such as hard plastic ones and megatone mouthpieces. 2) Had a mouthpiece slide down the plastic sleeve and get stuck, as a result of cold weather and my mouthpiece shrinking. Had to use a blowdryer to heat it up in order to unstick it. However, the glue seperated and not too long after that the piece of wood holding the mouthpieces came off of the supporting screws. In attempt to make the best out of a bad situation, after removing the screws I now have a double case for my Bach Bb and my Schilke C.
I bought this case for my Bach Stradivarius a few years back. Some pros with the case is that the trumpet is incredibly snug and won't be going anywhere while inside. Also there is plenty of room in the case for a multiple mutes. I keep my straight, cup, harmon, and plunger all in the case, which means I don't have to carry a mute bag. The case doesn't come without a few drawbacks though. It is larger and heavier than your normal case so sometimes finding a spot to put it can be difficult. Sometimes I feel as though having a small case that just holds the horn and a mute bag might take up less space. Also the velcro has started to come off on mine after about 2 hears, which means I have to carry it on my shoulder instead of my hands. Overall it is a very solid case, and if you want your horn to be safe, as well as have all your mutes in one place I would recommend this case.
I already had a serviceable case. What I needed was one that would hold all my mutes - straight, cup, and harmon, plus the plunger. It had to have a good shoulder strap that would stay on my shoulder. The optional backpack strap was a nice plus. Sturdy feet on the bottom that won't fall off are also a plus, as is the roomy pocket on the front that holds almost EVERYTHING - pencils, valve oil, spitballs, wallet, BIG bottle of water, sunglasses, and even has a built-in organizer for the smaller things. My only downer is that it's difficult to get into quickly, as the zipper is tight and there's a velcro flap over the middle (sometimes a necessary safety feature). It pretty much requires both hands.
