Qwik Time QT-7 Quartz MetronomeHere's a great new metronome with extra features and low price! It has a true "wood block" click. A440 tuning tone. 2/4, 3/4 or 4/4 time signatures, accented beats, headphone jack, and comes with battery.
Order today with the no-risk assurance of our Total Satisfaction and Low Price Guarantees!
Well constructed plastic case. Slide switch on side has raised ridges so it is very easy to operate. The switch has 3 positions: first detent = click and light; 2nd = light only; 3rd = A440 tone. As mentioned, the sound is loud enough for one to play along with, but not two or more. The click tone is similar to a mid-sized woodblock. Not too annoying. . .
Two observations: the LCD display on this model is large enough for these old eyes to see without reading glasses. That really helps over most other metronomes.
The knob on this metronome does not turn - it is a touch-sensitive switch to increase (touch and hold the up arrow) the tempo or decrease (touch and hold teh down arrow) the tempo. This was a little disappointment when I got it because the knob-type is much faster to set varying speeds. But it moves pretty fast - and as I said earlier, it is easy to read the display.
This is an ok metronome but I don't recommend it to any drummers or other rythm instruments. This metronome cannot subdivide quarter notes, and it doesn't have a volume knob so I suggest using headphones on it because it does have a jack. A good thing is that it is visually good because of the relatively large screen and light. What I like is that it shows tempo terms on the cover (like adagio, presto, ect.) and shows you what speeds those are at.
