I've worked with these and many others for years. This is the best metronome for the price. It has a "click" sound, not a pitched beep. It is loud enough for a brass player to use, but be advised that it is not loud enough for two or more people. Speeds go from 40 at slowest, to 250 at fastest. And they can be changed by increments of 1 beat per minute!
