I purchased this about a year ago just to try it and see if it made any difference with my reeds. I generally had been happy with using V-16 3's on my tenor and Java 2.5's on my alto, but often found it difficult to find good clarinet, bari, and soprano reeds. I first modified a clarinet reed and was blown away by how good it played; very free blowing, clear, great projection and actually enjoyable to play. I then tried it on bari and I noticed the same results and have since used it on all single reeds and absolutely love it. I feel this is one of the best things I've purchased for my career and I highly recommend it.

The Reed Wizard is amazing! The price held me back for a number of years, but now that I have one I realize that it is worth every penny. Reeds that I thought would never play again quickly became my favorite. Reeds that I thought were dead out of the box turned into total gems! The Reed Wizard saved my senior recital after a quick weather change, and I would never give it up!

Since purchasing the Reed Wizard in December of 2006, I continue to have a high success rate with the adjustment of commercially manufactured single reeds for my students and for my own personal use. This device quickly and accurately, redesigns the parabolic curve of any single reed, thus providing optimal response, clarity in articulation, an expanded dynamic range, more control, and a wider range of colors to the tone. My students and I can now spend more time practicing and making music and less time searching for a reed to play. From a financial point, parents as well as I are pleased with the fact of not having to replenish the reed supply as often. Valuable time is saved in the teaching learning retention cycle that occurs in a lesson. I had the good fortune of spending a great deal of time with Mr. Armato. He shares his knowledge and expertise freely with all who are curious and wan to learn. He gives much time to what he loves. He makes contributions! Musically, John Flaver

This tool is a must for all single reed players. It is relatively easy to learn how to fix your own reeds, and this tool is a great aid in doing just that. Too many times, the reeds we purchase (even the "top" brands) are not perfectly symmetrical, but this tool allows one to balance out one's reeds. WWBW's price is very competitive to other online companies.

This product is amazing and well worth the money. When I first saw the product I had my doubts; and when I actually received it I really thought it was a joke. I pulled out some reeds that I couldn't play, hadn't been able to play for a couple of years. I put the reed down on the Wizard did what the instructions said and the reed played like it was the once in a lifetime reed that sounds great and never goes bad. I used it on 15 reeds so far and they play wonderfully now! I perform a lot and was getting tired of buying a box of reeds and only finding 1 good reed out of 10. Now they are all good thanks to the Reed Wizard. This will save me a ton of money in the future!! If you are having reed trouble at all, give the Reed Wizard a try, it really works.
