Comments about Remo Black Max Crimped Marching Snare Drum Head:

This head is used at my school, and is much liked. The snares have a very crisp sound, and they have a good feel also. The drums they are used on are Yamaha SFZ snares with a MX5 resonant head.

Comments about Remo Black Max Crimped Marching Snare Drum Head:

The Max series heads are probably the best heads out there. They sound really good when tuned high, when you tune them low like DCI this year they sounds terrible in my opinion. I march Dynasty and use a Flam k 2 for a bottom head. If you have them tuned really high then they will not last long if you keep cranking it down. So find the pitch u like, let the head stretch and then tighten it to the pitch then it will stay there.
