Comments about Remo Kid's Percussion Rain Forest Djembe:

I teach groups of all ages to improvise sing and drum together. Most of the time I work with beginners and this drum is one of my primary tools. Everyone is attracted to it and immediately will pick it up and start playing it. They can always get a decent sound, no matter how little experience they have. Even the smallest child loves to play this drum and adults like it as well. To a kid it's a djembe, to an adult it's a dumbek. I've carted it from classroom to workshop to party and it's still in great shape. This drum has taken a real beating, but the head is still perfect, the body is fine and the strap stays on. It's really well made. I certainly have gotten my money's worth out of it. One thing to note is that the drum doesn't have much of a range of sound. You can get a low tone by hitting it in the middle and a higher tone on the side, but that's about it. It is a synthetic head after all. All in all though, it's a decent sound for the money!
