I was skeptical about getting these, because I previously bought the Renassiance ambassadors, and I went through them in about two months. Great sound and feel, just not enough durability. I came across these and the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps use these on their quads, so they must be pretty durable. I put them on and they sounded fantastic on my toms, I play Ludwig(8,10,14,16). I put a little foam on them, and they were great for recording. I like them better than the coated, because when the finish wears, they still sound good, and have a smooth feel. Three months and one studio album later, they are still going strong. Thanks music123.
