I've tried many different kinds of reeds. No one like Rico plasticover. Excellent response, very clear sound. Just the best.

Well I have used many different kinds of reeds, from Rico to Vandoren, to Rico Royal, but no reed has ever responded so well the first try. I played on my band director's Martin 880 this past year and I was using Rico Royals, but it took a couple of days to break in. This was troublesome due to the fact that I chipped my reed the day before state festival. I used the chipped reed because I had a solo and using a new reed would cause more problems than the chipped ones. This, of course, was before I knew about Plasticovers. I went to the local music store the other day because I needed a box of reeds. I was in the mood to try something different so I chose the Plasticovers because I had heard some good things about them. When I got home I was exited about using the reeds and I put them on my mouthpiece without bothering to wet it any. The sound came instantaneous! The sax I use now since school is out is a cheap "Selman" I got off of eBay because I am somewhat of a cheap person. I hadn't played it in about a year and the mouthpiece on it was new and cheap as well. Anyway, I have never heard or played anything like the Plasticovers and I plan to use them from now on!
