Rico Reedgard IV for Clarinet or Alto SaxophoneHard plastic case, maximum protection for 4 clarinet or alto saxophone reeds.

This does what it's meant to do--protect my reeds-- and it does it well. They stayy flat and I have noticed that they do last longer. This is a great product!
Too short for alto sax reeds. (I use VD Java reeds.) It techincally fits, but it should be 3/8 inch longer. The reed must be pushed in hard to have the reed fully on the reedguard. And that puts an indentation on the reed. Then it is difficult to get the reed back out. I now use a tenor reedguard IV for my alto reeds. Note that the 5 star rating was from a clarinet player, so I assume that they are fine for clarinet reeds.
I purchased five of these and of the five, only two fit my reeds (alto sax) perfectly. The majority of my reeds would not easily slide all the way into the sheath, leaving them not flush with the top of the case. Additionally, these cases are terrible for not allowing the reeds to breathe, trapping water in the heart and tip of the reed and thereby ruining them. You get what you pay for.
