Rico Soprano/Alto Saxophone Neck StrapThe Rico Tenor/Baritone Saxophone Straphas a specially designed curved hook that is easy to insert and remove, yet stays on the instrument much better than ordinary hooks. The unique quick adjust button allows the musician to adjust the sax strap to a precise length, quickly and easily, and uses cord that is much less cumbersome than webbing.

The purple one looks pretty neat. The hook and length adjust are both secure. Length adjust (shortening) is a little difficult if you don't have both hands free. It's comfortable, light, easy to store in the bell, and easy to stack a tenor neckstrap on top of for doubling. At first I liked it a lot, but both the "shoelace" and wide band materials started to frizz pretty quickly. Also, the hook is so long that it catches on the side B pad pivot arm when I roll my alto to inspect or blow moisture off the pads, so I've stopped using it. I phoned Rico (over a year ago), the phone rep suggested I look at their other neckstraps.
Pros : Comfortable, looks good, price, sturdy, easy to raise and lower (important for kids)
Cons: hook is lightly coated steel. It will wear a hole in the brass ring on your instrument.
Liked it at first. Comfortable and probably easy to put another neckstrap over for doubling between alto and tenor. Light weight, small to store in bell.Drawbacks: the band material started to frizz out soon, and the string material started to wear and become sticky, like waxed shoe laces. It became difficult to shorten the length. And the long hook catches in the pivot arm of the side Bb when I roll the sax away from me to blow moisture off the upper pads.
I have been playing saxophone for 38 years, have owned practically every neckstrap made, and this one beats them all! It is inexpensive, easy to use, and comfortable. I recommend them to all my students!
