I got this throne w/backrest with my new kit about 6 months ago and words can't describe how good I feel about it. I'd give it 50 stars if I could. I have severe back problems and can only play about 20 minutes before I have to get up and move around (ouch!!!). This seat was a great investment. Very easy to assemble and the Hydraulic cylinder is great. The quality blew me away....it's soft and comfortable, and the stitching is top-notch. I highly recomend this throne to anyone, especially if you have issues with your back. Lastly, if you think the price is too high, think of this - someday after playing drums for over a decade and a half you might wish you'd bought this after all. Also, once you make this investment you may never have to buy another.........

When I recenetly bought my new kit, I knew I would need an outstanding seat with a good backrest because of my bad back. After extensive research I ordered this baby, and let me tell you, since day one, I was overjoyed. The little bit of give from the shock absorber, the fluid ease of motion from side to side, and not to mention the adjustable back rest (sold seperately) make this the Ferarri of thrones.
