I'm a bass player so I got this unit to practice thru, use as a stage monitor, or for stereo effects and sweet mids as a compliment to the raw bass power of my Hartke rig for playing out. I've had it for a couple years now and have been really rough with it and people are always tryin to buy it from me. There are four inputs so I've jammed on it on bass with a guitar player and a drummer and a singer. I have a Roland vbass and a bunch of analog elctroharmonics pedals and I can use a different channel for each plus have one channel to the headphones as an in ear monitor, and a channel for back up vocals. This unit is so versatile and powerful. The fourth channel has a bunch of options so you can really get your money out of it. The casters come off for transport and I take the back two off to get a kick back monitor style use out of it. I've let guitarists borrow it and it will stand up against any 100 watt Marshal or Peavey head and half stack I've seen. I let a saxophonist borrow it. I let my drummer borrow it all the time when he needs a little more kick drum or tom mids.

I bought 2 of the kc-550's and link them in stereo, and I have the sound that I have been searching for. They are quite heavy but the sound is worth the load! I do wish that Roland made covers for them. I also use them as a PA system via small mixing board. I would highly recommend these amps for any venue.
